James Batting

James joined Hosking Partners in 2014 to work in the Business Development Team. He became Senior Partner in 2021.

Alongside chairing the firm's management committee and overseeing overall strategy, James manages the firm's largest client relationships.

Previously, James worked at Ruffer Investment Management and Brunswick Group. He graduated from the University of Oxford, where he read Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

James is kept in check by his American wife, toddling sons and mischievous terrier. When left to his own devices, he likes pottering around the garden.
